It seems that the trade rumor involving Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid will not go away.

Real Madrid Manager has given aŽtell allŽinterview to Spanish Sports Daily, Marca.  During the interview, Schuster mentioned that he believed  Cristiano Ronaldo will join Real Madrid next summer.

“I think Cristiano will come in 2009,” he told  the reporter, as a smile escaped his face.

In the meantime, United brass continue to brush off any trade rumor involving Cristiano Ronaldo.

Just one day after Sir Alex Ferguson’s insistence that Cristiano Ronaldo would remain at Old Trafford for another year, Spanish media AS and Marca have reported that Real Madrid’s pursuit of the young scoring phenom has not ended.

“I can say he’ll be a Manchester United player next season. That’s our stance. He won’t be sold,” Ferguson told a news conference in South Africa Friday where the side is on a pre-season tour.

This statement made the front pages of Spanish sports media AS and Marca, who remain adamant that Real Madrid’s pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t over yet, insisting that Ferguson’s words were just a ploy to raise the price.

Real Madrid has reportedly secured a 70 million euro bank loan to carry out the transfer and are believed to be unwilling to give up the opportunity to sign Cristiano.

The Spanish sports newspaper,’Marca’ reported on Wednesday that Manchester United are ready to deal Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

According to ‘Marca’, the Glazer family who bought the Red Devils in 2004, feel that it would be too risky to keep Ronaldo. They feel that his value may decrease if they hold onto the Portuguese winger and are therefore considering the deal.

Close sources to the parties involved, have said that Real Madrid are willing to pay Manchester United 85 million euros for Ronaldo, who still has 4 years left on his contract with the Reds.

The rumor of a transfer began after Ronaldo stated to Spanish media that he wanted to play for Real Madrid.
