Cristiano Ronaldo has recently added the Ballon Dòr to his trophy room, but the trophies for his fabled 42 goal season is most likely not over yet. Cristiano Ronaldo has made FIFA´S short list for 2008 World Player.
On the list is Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaká, Messi, Fernando Torres and Xavi.
Fifa has made some modifications which has increased the finalists list in the men´s and women´s category from three to five players.
The finalists were chosen by coaches and team captains from all over the world in a world wide poll from a list of candidates supplied by Fifa.
The Award will be handed out on January 12, 2009 at The Zurich Opera House.
Women Finalists are:
Nadine Angerer (Germany), Cristiane (Brazil), Marta (Brazil), Birgit Prinz (Germany) and Kelly Smith from England.
