The Manchester United winger has been nominated for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year 2008, along with David James (goalkeeper for Portsmouth and England), Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres from the Liverpool squad and Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas will represent the Gunners.
Torres and Fabregas also join Ronaldo on the PFA Young Player of the Year shortlist which is completed by Aston Villa pair Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young and Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Cristiano Ronaldo who has been on fire the entire season, by breaking Best’s record is considered by many to be the favorite to win both awards.
