Carlos Queiroz Confirmed As New Portugal Manager

Carlos Queiroz has been confirmed as the next Portugal manager.

Queiroz signed a four year deal which will take him into the next Euro Championship in 2012.

This news comes as a further blow to Manchester United, as Queiroz is well known for his relationship with the players, especially Cristiano Ronaldo, who Manchester United are also on the verge of losing.

Queiroz arrived at Old Trafford in 2002 to much criticism from  English media, but soon made his mark on the club for bringing attacking style football  to the Red Devils.

Queiroz left Old Trafford in 2003 to manage Real Madrid, but was unsuccessful, and returned to Old Trafford.

Queiroz is well thought of in Portugal, after he successfully coached Portugal’s under 20’s to two world cups in 1989 and 1991.
