The Portugal National Team and Manchester United Team doctors met Cristiano Ronaldo in Lisbon Portugal on July 2nd to assess Cristiano’s troublesome ankle. All parties have agreed that surgery is needed, and the go ahead has been given.

Ronaldo will undergo surgery effective immediately to correct the problem in his right ankle. The surgery will take place in Lisbon Portugal. Cristiano will remain in Lisbon for his recovery and physiotherapy which is approximated to last 4 weeks.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been suffering from his injury since April of this year, but continued to work through his pain to help United capture both the EPL and CL titles. He also fought through his pain and participated in this year’s EURO Championship for Portugal.
