Cristiano Ronaldo: The Latest On the Transfer Rumor

ronaldo_portugal1

There has been a flurry of reports today by big ‘news corporations’ regarding the possible transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. Britain’s news website “The Telegraph’ has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has made a decision which affirms his departure from The Red Devils.

Cristiano Ronaldo has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, that he wants to leave Manchester United to fulfil his “dream” of playing for Real Madrid.”

“Ronaldo will be offered a deal worth £150,000 per week after tax, a contract that he feels is too good to refuse, but as well as fulfilling his financial demands, he has informed his closest advisers that the chance of playing for such a prestigious club is one he does not want to miss out on.” Reports ‘Telegraph’.

But amidst these reports which have Ronaldo packed and on his way to Spain, also come reports from Portuguese News Channel (SIC), which have Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon quoted as saying that “the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo is an impossible one because Manchester United refuse to part with the young Portuguese International”.

Manchester United executive director, David Gill has also reiterated that “C. Ronaldo will be staying at Old Trafford”. Saying that ” He and Sir Alex Ferguson have discussed the situation several weeks ago, and their position on the matter is clear”.

Ronaldo should definately stay at manutd since this time he got 30 goals for united at his last season of the Barclays premier league for the english side.Ronaldo was aiming for scoring 50 goals for the english clum in the next season.I think Ronaldo will stay at united if he would want to go for glory since he will take sometime to get used to real madrid.

Thanks guys for you comments…. Ronny is the best. :-)

One word to describe cristiano … disloyal. There is no place in Manchester United for disloyal people. Sell him for the 100 million Real Madrid are willing to pay. It’s good money from a silly club.

8. madrid_phantom - June 9, 2008

real madrid = best club on earth……………… (1)
C Ronaldo = best player on earth…………….(2)

simultaneously,
best result = (1) + (2)

So y dont we mathematically agree with Calderon’s dreams???????

He can do whatever he wants, I lost all my interest in him, after I found out he was dating that cheap slut, really. I thought he had great taste, and were professional, but she is really grose. Everyone can see that she only want the money, she is flashing the ring, earrings etc !

Hey Scholes is a legend, Madrid_phantom and Karoline,

Scholes is a legend, please read our http://www.ronny7.com/archives/250 post. It raises some important reasons why Cristiano may want to leave. Furthermore, at this point everything is speculation, so we’ll just need to wait this out and see where it leads. Thanks for your comment, I know that there are many who feel as you do. cheers! :-)

Hey Madrid_Phantom, there are people who would debate you on that. With that said, Calderon got to the place he is by making good decisions. Acquiring Ronny would be in his best interest.

Hey Karoline, there are many who feel as you do. Although we agree that Nereida isn’t as innocent as her story makes her out to be, unfortunately, we don’t know enough about her. She may be less evil than most people think…. :-)

Guys thanks for your comments, glad that you dropped by… cheers :-)

i very much agree ronaldo can hit the road to spain we dont need him at old trafford.we know we are the best team under the best manager…sir alex ferg,we have the likes of nani, anderson who actually are best players.lets not even cry over spilt milk.he is not going to take the best of man u,let him see what real has to offer to finish him.that club is for retired heroz like zidane.

12. admin - June 11, 2008

Hi caleb chisokota,

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player, 42 goals in a season isn’t something that just anyone can do. At 23, Ronny is still young, and there’s a lot that he can still accomplish. Although Nani and Anderson are good footballers, they still need to be developed and that will be years away.

This is the time to rally behind Ronny and support him. We need him at Manchester not in Real.

:-)

I want Ronny to stay, but i agree with one saying that he is disloyal and for that I don’t care what he does, just cash in for him while we can, if not we will lose him for free, and Real Madrid are nowhere near the best team in the world, where did they finish in the champions League, was it quarter finals, man utd won it, what more can we say, at the moment man utd are the best team in the world

After what happened to CR7 following the 2006 wrld cup would sink most players, but CR7 stayed and the results of the past two seasons have been out of this world goals, assists, and championships, now thats what I call loyalty he stayed took the hate, abuse by opposing fans, players and even the refs. got in it CR7 survided thats loyalty of the highest order mission acomplished, now the time has come to move back to the IBERIAN PENINSULA warmer climate, better pay and a place where his skills will be appreciated rather then being critisized. long live CR7 the PEARL of the ATLANTIC the pride of Madeira,PORTUGAL.and every Portuguese thruout the planet.

15. admin - June 14, 2008

Hey Danny and Raysagres,

Danny, we too would like for Ronny to stay with Manchester, but any decision that he makes in his career should not be seen as betrayal. It is important to note that although Manchester are creating a huge publicity campaign to thwart Madrid’s attempts from acquiring Ronaldo’s services, at no point did they publicly state that they were willing to make Ronny the highest paid footballer. Unless Manchester loosens the purse strings and makes Ronny the highest paid player, their motives will remain suspect.

Hi Raysagres, You have raised some very important points. It is true that Ronny has remained loyal to Manchester, even when he felt his safety was in jeopardy. This is an example of Ronny’s character and demonstrates that he is willing to endure hardship to support his team. It is Manchester’s turn to show Ronny that he is the best player in the world by making him the highest paid player.

Thank you both for your comments.

tushaar-

For you to compare Beckham to Ronaldo, or the LA Galaxy to Real Madrid shows how little you know about soccer or (football). Ronaldo will shine anywhere, he is twice the player Beckham is, and Real Madrid is still a major team, unlike the LA Galaxy.
He would also be closer to his native country, still win multiple accolades, and make quite a bit of money.
