I’m sad to see that Maniche won’t be participating in this tournament, but the group that will be, look pretty good.

2. miguel - May 14, 2008

thanks for info, glad Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani will play, 2 great players from the best team in history, Man Utd. like the fact that Miguel (Valencia CF) is playing, we have the same name, it makes me feel special

in mexico, it would look like this

Portugal is un buen equipo. Cristiano Ronaldo, Quaresma, Boswinga, Moutinho, Veloso, Simao… todos son grandes jugadors.. Espero que este ano(then i dont know), lol

Hey Michelle Miguel and Tom,

Thanks all again for dropping by and leaving your comments.

Michelle, we too are sad to see Maniche not in the squad. It’s unfortunate, but the Portuguese team is strong.

Tom, we agree, many great football players, it could be a great year for Portugal.

Hey Miguel, your translation is very good. Portuguese and Spanish are very similar. I would say that the major difference is the pronunciation of the words themselves, which can make Portuguese and Spanish sound different. But there is very little difference between the two when spelled out.

Cheers guys :-)

are you kidding me? No Tiago? were screwed, we have allot of talent on portugal no doubt but we lack the true leadership needed to win the big games. No Figo or Costa means not this time people…

7. admin - May 15, 2008

Hi Dinis,

It’s true that the Portuguese National team is missing some of it’s veterans, but there is still a lot of Euro experience the squad.

We think that they will put on a performance… Ronny is sure to impress.

8. lesego kola - May 23, 2008

I think Phillip Scolari has chosen a good team. Most are the young stars and they are going to prove a point that Portugal is a good team in Europe.I think the team has what it takes to win the Euro 2008.

9. admin - May 23, 2008

We agree with you lesego kola, We do believe that Portugal are one of the teams to beat. We a waiting to see Cristiano make his mark for Portugal in this tourny.

Miguel,
What Tom mean ( the bit that you didn’t get :D)
was roughly : I hope that this year the Euro cup goes to Portugal.

i am sad to know that maniche is not included in the team. however what matters is the result that is going to be achieved. i hope ronaldo and his friends will win the tornament easily.

12. admin - June 2, 2008

Hey Guinevere and Betcho,

Guinevere, thank you, that’s exactly what Tom is saying.

Betcho,

We too are sad to see that Maniche is not in the lineup but you’re right. What matters are the results on the pitch. We’re rooting for Portugal too :-)

15. Robert - June 13, 2008

I think that the lack of some of the vets is good it givess us a more long term squad and we’ve proven to be deadly without them and to dinis i think that nuno gimes can lead very well not to mention that he has ronaldo if he’s not on and he is also very good

16. admin - June 13, 2008

Hey Robert,

We agree, the old guard of Figo, Pauletta etc. were great, but they may not have been as fit to play in this kind of tournament. It’s good to see the young kids taking over…. There’s a bright future for Portugal, no matter what happens this year. Cheers :-)
