Cristiano Ronaldo Credits Fans For Win Over Barcelona

ManFansAfter their victorious game versus Barcelona on Tuesday April 29, 2008, Cristiano Ronaldo told MUTV that the fans helped motivate the players to play harder and win.

Cristiano Ronaldo was overcome with emotion at the final whistle of Tuesday’s game vs. Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, that he flung himself onto the pitch in elation.

“The feeling is great,” he said. “It will be my first Champions League final and I feel very good. It’s great for me and my colleagues.

“The final is in three weeks and we have time to work and keep our concentration. But the most important thing now is the league.

Old Trafford was electric from start to finish with fans chanting, singing and cheering for the men in red.

Manchester United will meet Chelsea in Moscow for the Champions League final on May 21, 2008.
