There have been some rumours surfacing that Cristiano Ronaldo caught the swine flu during his visit to Washington. These reports were quickly denied by Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have released a statement regarding Cristiano’s health.
“Cristiano Ronaldo returned from Washington DC with the flu and has been told to rest at home and was prescribed medication.”
Real also stated that Cristiano is suffering from a regular strain of flu, and should recover within the next few days.
Ronaldo’s illness will render him absent for tomorrow’s friendly between Portugal and Liechtenstein.
